Epson EB-475Wi Projector Crowned Interactive Presentation Product of the Year

Epson is celebrating today as news spreads that their new EB – 475Wi projector was selected to receive the Interactive Presentation Product of the year Award. This award is given every year by AV Awards. The EB-475Wi features a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2600 ANSI lumens, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The device has interactive capabilities and has an ultra short throw distance that allows it to be mounted on a wall. A representative from AV Awards stated, “The projector removes the need for an interactive whiteboard, which could help to keep running costs low, in a time when budgets in education are being stretched more and more.”

Epson EB475WI Projector – 2600 ANSI Lumens WXGA 16:10 Widescreem Format Ultra Short-Throw Interactive Projector

With Epson’s EB-475Wi, you can easily achieve a large projected image size of up to 100inches/245cm that’s fully interactive, right up to the corners. Thanks to the ultra-short-throw design, you can project a 46-inch/116.8cm image from just 27cm away, and annotating can easily be done without casting distracting shadows. This is Epson’s first interactive projector to feature two digital pens that allow teachers and students to work together at the same time. These pens are more responsive and easier to use than previous models, thanks to the new ‘hover’ function that accurately detects the position of the pen when not in contact with the projection surface. The automatic calibration and the driver-less installation means that set-up is extremely fast and easy.

The EB475WI is an ultra short throw interactive projector. It makes any projection screen become interactive, meaning text or drawings can be created and then saved. It attaches to the wall / ceiling and can project large images from only 27 cm away, meaning that nothing should be getting in the way of the projector and the screen. It is designed to function particularly well with interactive whiteboards, giving sharp, bright and detailed images. Its 2600 lumens means it can perform well with the lights on, which enables the students to be able to see the projection images and also make notes. It comes with a bundled wall mount to ensure easy installation. It has a 16w (watt) built in speaker to bring presentations and teaching to life. It includes an eco-mode, which uses less energy pro-longing the life of your lamp.
